In a Royal Message to the 7th International Conference on Adult Education (CONFINTEA VII) in Marrakech, King Mohammed VI highlighted the paramount importance of lifelong learning as a key lever for achieving sustainable development goals. His Majesty outlined Morocco's pioneering efforts in this field, such as upgrading vocational training, creating "Second Chance" schools, linking literacy programs to professional integration, and empowering women economically, while noting the integration of Moroccan cities into the Global Network of Learning Cities. The King concluded the message with three strategic proposals: adopting the "Marrakech Framework for Action" as a roadmap for the next 12 years, establishing a post-conference ministerial committee to monitor the implementation of recommendations, and creating the "African Institute for Lifelong Learning" to strengthen South-South cooperation.
