On Wednesday, July 14, 2021, the founding general assembly of the local branch of the Constitutional Union Party was held in the commune of Gueznaia, under the prefecture of Tangier-Assilah, in the presence of Abdessalam Hamdan, the party’s regional director. During the meeting, Rachid El Harthi was unanimously elected as the party’s local secretary.

In an opening address delivered on his behalf by Abdessalam Hamdan, the party’s regional coordinator, Mohamed Zemmouri, called for the mobilization of the party’s activists in Gueznaia to encourage residents, particularly young people, to become involved in political life in order to defend the interests of their commune and its population.

Zemmouri also called on the newly established local branch to maintain close communication with residents, listen to their concerns, and respond positively to their demands. He stated that the party’s objective at this stage was to contribute to achieving the desired change and development in the area.

Rachid El Harthi, who was elected the party’s local secretary in the commune, said that the establishment of the branch marked the beginning of a new chapter for the commune, based on serving residents and contributing to the development of the area.

El Harthi also praised the significant role played by regional coordinator Mohamed Zemmouri in presenting the party’s project in the commune to activists and highlighting its seriousness and its expected impact in the short and medium term.

This initiative forms part of the organizational momentum of the Constitutional Union Party in the Tangier prefecture, overseen by regional coordinator Mohamed Zemmouri.

On September 7 in Casablanca, the Constitutional Union (UC) launched its platform for the 2026 legislative elections, prioritizing job creation, purchasing power, and productive growth under the commitment "A Productive Economy, More Job Opportunities, and Stronger Purchasing Power." Key Challenges Addressed: Secretary-General Mohamed Joudar highlighted that ~2.9 million Moroccan youth are currently not in employment, education, or training (NEETs), alongside inflation pressures and market intermediaries driving up living costs. Core Proposals: Align vocational training with market demands and support first-job access for youth. Improve the business climate, expand financing for SMEs/startups, and combat monopolies and rent-seeking. Strengthen market competition and supply chain transparency to curb inflation rather than relying solely on temporary price fixes.
