The Secretary General of the Constitutional Union Receives African Delegations in Casablanca

By حزب الاتحاد الدستوريFeb 12, 20262 min read

The Secretary General of the Constitutional Union (UC) party, Mr. Mohamed Joudar, received delegations of leaders and representatives from African political parties taking part in the founding General Assembly of the African Democratic Alliance for Freedom and Progress (ADAFP), held from February 12 to 14, 2026, in Casablanca.

The meeting served as an opportunity to reaffirm the deep historical and human ties binding the Kingdom of Morocco to its African roots, under the insightful vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Assist Him. This Royal vision places Africa as a strategic priority in Morocco's foreign policy, anchored in the principles of South-South cooperation, effective solidarity, shared development, and respect for state sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The discussions focused on ways to enhance cooperation and coordination among democratic political forces across the continent, while supporting initiatives aimed at fostering democracy, stability, and development—in line with Morocco’s commitment to building balanced African partnerships based on mutual trust and shared interests.

The Secretary General emphasized that the Constitutional Union's engagement in this continental alliance reflects its dedication to contributing to a new African political momentum that upholds freedom, good governance, and economic integration as essential pillars for a comprehensive African renaissance.

In honor of the participating delegations, the Constitutional Union hosted a dinner in a fraternal atmosphere that showcased the spirit of unity and highlighted the depth of the Kingdom’s African dimension.

The General Assembly proceedings continue with the examination of the alliance's founding documents and the election of its leadership bodies, paving the way for a new chapter of joint action among African democratic parties.
