The Constitutional Women's Organization Organizes a Training Session to Strengthen Women's Roles in Political Life and Expand Democratic Participation

By حزب الاتحاد الدستوريMar 1, 20261 min read

In partnership with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, the Constitutional Women's Organization organized a training workshop entitled: "Women's Political Participation: A Lever for Development and Democracy", as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance women's empowerment and strengthen their role in public life.

The session aimed to build the leadership and communication skills of participants while boosting awareness of the importance of active engagement in political and institutional spheres. The workshop also provided a platform to propose practical solutions for overcoming the obstacles that still limit women's political presence, as well as concrete mechanisms to enhance female representation within elected bodies and political parties.

The training program covered several key areas, including the constitutional and legal frameworks governing political participation, political advocacy and communication techniques, and good governance approaches linked to territorial development and gender equality.

In its closing remarks, the Organization emphasized that political empowerment for women is essential for consolidating participatory democracy and achieving sustainable, inclusive development. It reaffirmed its commitment to continuing similar initiatives to mentor female talent and promote their qualitative presence across various political and institutional milestones.

The Constitutional Union places employment and purchasing power at the heart of its electoral platform.

On September 7 in Casablanca, the Constitutional Union (UC) launched its platform for the 2026 legislative elections, prioritizing job creation, purchasing power, and productive growth under the commitment "A Productive Economy, More Job Opportunities, and Stronger Purchasing Power." Key Challenges Addressed: Secretary-General Mohamed Joudar highlighted that ~2.9 million Moroccan youth are currently not in employment, education, or training (NEETs), alongside inflation pressures and market intermediaries driving up living costs. Core Proposals: Align vocational training with market demands and support first-job access for youth. Improve the business climate, expand financing for SMEs/startups, and combat monopolies and rent-seeking. Strengthen market competition and supply chain transparency to curb inflation rather than relying solely on temporary price fixes. Combine private initiative with strategic state oversight to ensure growth benefits all social classes and regions.
