By حزب الاتحاد الدستوريNov 4, 20241 min read

The city of Casablanca hosted the General Assembly of the African Liberal Network (ALN) from October 30 to November 3, 2024, gathering delegates from more than 50 political parties across Africa. Hosted by the Constitutional Union (UC) party, the summit opened with a keynote address delivered by Mr. Mohamed Joudar, Secretary-General of the Constitutional Union.

Fostering Intra-African Cooperation

Welcoming international delegates to Morocco, Mr. Joudar emphasized that the conference marks a historic platform for joint dialogue, reflection, and strategic partnership among African political leaders.

Mr. Joudar paid tribute to the Royal vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI for Africa, describing it as a guiding light for continental integration. “His Majesty’s vision embodies a deep sense of belonging, proactive leadership, and a steadfast commitment to an optimistic, human-centered African future,” stated Joudar, noting that His Majesty has placed Africa at the absolute core of Morocco’s foreign policy priorities.

Election of New ALN Leadership

The General Assembly concluded with the election of Morocco to the Vice-Presidency of the African Liberal Network, represented by Dr. Lahcen El Dakak, member of the Political Bureau of the Constitutional Union. Additionally, Mr. Rudy Mandio was elected as the new President of the African Liberal Network.

Core Proposals: Align vocational training with market demands and support first-job access for youth. Improve the business climate, expand financing for SMEs/startups, and combat monopolies and rent-seeking.
