Jouddar denies being banned from traveling and decides to sue the websites that published the fake news.

By حزب الاتحاد الدستوريOct 24, 20191 min read

Mr. Mohamed Jouddar, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and Deputy Secretary General of the Constitutional Union party, categorically denied what was circulated by some electronic websites regarding the confiscation of his passport and banning him from traveling. He considered the publications to be fake news, personal defamation, and a malicious campaign against him. He has decided to take legal action and sue the websites that published the news without verifying it or bothering to contact him, as required by publishing laws and the ethics of the journalism profession.

Jouddar stressed that he respects the press and journalists and appreciates their role, but what was published against him has nothing to do with journalism and actually damages it, evidenced by the fact that the published news was copied across several websites bearing the same signature. He called on the National Press Council to open an investigation into such practices that harm this noble profession and undermine the achievements made in freedom of opinion, which, in his view, should not become an arena for settling scores and conducting malicious campaigns.

The Constitutional Union places employment and purchasing power at the heart of its electoral platform.

On September 7 in Casablanca, the Constitutional Union (UC) launched its platform for the 2026 legislative elections, prioritizing job creation, purchasing power, and productive growth under the commitment "A Productive Economy, More Job Opportunities, and Stronger Purchasing Power." Key Challenges Addressed: Secretary-General Mohamed Joudar highlighted that ~2.9 million Moroccan youth are currently not in employment, education, or training (NEETs), alongside inflation pressures and market intermediaries driving up living costs. Core Proposals: Align vocational training with market demands and support first-job access for youth. Improve the business climate, expand financing for SMEs/startups, and combat monopolies and rent-seeking. Strengthen market competition and supply chain transparency to curb inflation rather than relying solely on temporary price fixes. Combine private initiative with strategic state oversight to ensure growth benefits all social classes and regions.
