Condolences to Mr. Abdelhakim Kamou, son of the late Mohamed Kamou, may God have mercy on his soul.

By حزب الاتحاد الدستوريAug 6, 20212 min read

It was with profound sadness and sorrow that we learned of the passing of the late Mohamed Kamou, may God grant him His mercy and forgiveness, your father. May God, in His boundless mercy, receive him into His vast Paradise. The Almighty says in His Holy Book:

“And give glad tidings to those who are patient, who, when afflicted by a calamity, say: ‘Indeed, we belong to God, and to Him we shall return.’ Those are the ones upon whom are blessings and mercy from their Lord, and it is they who are rightly guided.”

On this painful occasion, I extend, on my own behalf and on behalf of all members of the Political Bureau, as well as the women and men activists of the Constitutional Union Party, my deepest condolences on the passing of one whom God has called to His mercy and favor.

You and your honorable family have every right to be proud of your father and of the contributions he made in service of his country. May God have mercy on him. He lived and contributed alongside a group of figures who helped build Morocco’s local democratic experience. The late Si Mohamed Kamou, may his soul rest in peace, was also an accomplished political figure. He was among the founders of the Constitutional Union Party, a former member of its Political Bureau, and a Member of Parliament for several legislative terms. His time in office was marked by determination and serious work within the Constitutional Union parliamentary group in the House of Representatives. He also served as president of the Hay Hassani commune for several consecutive terms, and the impact of his work remains visible throughout the district to this day.

May God count you and your family among those who remain patient in hardship, grant you comfort and strength, and place the deceased in a seat of truth in His presence, alongside those upon whom God has bestowed His favor: the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. And excellent companions they are.

There is no power and no strength except through God, the Most High, the Almighty.

Indeed, we belong to God, and to Him we shall return.

Mohamed Sajid
Secretary-General of the Constitutional Union Party

The Constitutional Union places employment and purchasing power at the heart of its electoral platform.

On September 7 in Casablanca, the Constitutional Union (UC) launched its platform for the 2026 legislative elections, prioritizing job creation, purchasing power, and productive growth under the commitment "A Productive Economy, More Job Opportunities, and Stronger Purchasing Power." Key Challenges Addressed: Secretary-General Mohamed Joudar highlighted that ~2.9 million Moroccan youth are currently not in employment, education, or training (NEETs), alongside inflation pressures and market intermediaries driving up living costs. Core Proposals: Align vocational training with market demands and support first-job access for youth. Improve the business climate, expand financing for SMEs/startups, and combat monopolies and rent-seeking. Strengthen market competition and supply chain transparency to curb inflation rather than relying solely on temporary price fixes. Combine private initiative with strategic state oversight to ensure growth benefits all social classes and regions.
