Chaoui Belassal, member of the Morocco-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee, highlighted that the European Parliament's overwhelming adoption of the new fisheries agreement marks a fresh start for strategic relations and refutes claims by opponents of Morocco's territorial integrity. Covering maritime waters from Cap Spartel to Cap Blanc, the agreement increases annual financial support to 52.2 million euros while ensuring local socio-economic benefits and environmental protection.
