Nasser describes the condition of Taourirt hospital as "disastrous" and calls for the construction of a new one in the province.

( Message of the Nation)

Mohamed Nasser, member of the Constitutional Rally group in the House of Representatives, renewed his demand to the Ministry of Health to expedite the "construction of a new provincial hospital in the Taourirt province." This came during his questioning of Anas Doukkali, Minister of Health, at the oral questions session in the House of Representatives yesterday, Monday.

Nasser stated that "the provincial hospital in Taourirt is experiencing a disastrous situation," pointing out that he had previously submitted a technical paper to the overseeing ministry regarding the health situation in this province, asserting that it "suffers from a severe shortage of equipment and medical human resources."

Nasser questioned the reason for the Ministry of Health's delay in building the new hospital in Taourirt despite the availability of land for this purpose. He stated, "Up until now, we do not understand this unjust marginalization (Hogra) regarding the construction of this hospital, which has been our demand since 2012." Addressing the Minister, he added: "It appears to us that you lack a real political will to implement this purely social hospital project."

According to the Constitutional Rally member, what the province is experiencing on a health level is considered "a clear disregard for citizens' health." At the same time, he warned the Ministry of Health of the repercussions of delaying the construction of a new hospital in the province—repercussions that, according to Nasser, "could lead its inhabitants to stage protests and demonstrations against this situation."

The aforementioned parliamentarian had previously emphasized that the provincial hospital in the district he represents in the House of Representatives "does not meet the needs of patients," and that it lacks "the necessary medical equipment and sufficient human resources."
